certification and quality commitment

At Camden Machine & Tool, Inc., quality and traceability are core to our operations. While our facility supports customers across automotive, aerospace, oil & gas, and industrial sectors, our primary focus is delivering parts that meet required specifications and documentation needs. Certifications and formal qualifications are often project-dependent; we work closely with customers to meet their certification and audit requirements.

Why certification and documented quality matter

Certifications and documented quality practices are essential for regulated industries and large supply chains. Certifications provide independent verification of processes and systems that reduce risk. For aerospace and automotive customers especially, documented processes, material traceability, and inspection evidence help meet contractual and regulatory demands and support product safety.

Essential for Rotation

Turning creates cylindrical shapes and critical diameters with precision required for fits, bearings, and seals. Accurate turning minimizes vibration, wear, and assembly issues. For rotating assemblies, concentricity and roundness are critical to longevity and performance.

Customer-Specific Requirements

We adapt documentation and process controls to meet customer audits and contract requirements.

Inspection Capabilities

Dimensional Inspection Reports

Showing measured values for critical features.

Material Certifications (MTRs)

When specified by the customer and available from material suppliers.

Process & Setup Notes

Documentation for repeatability and audit purposes.

FAI Reports

Sample records for production approval.

Customer Systems & Traceability

Working with Quality Systems

We routinely work under a range of customer quality requirements. When a customer requires specific certifications (e.g., AS9100, IATF (817) 838-6731, we coordinate to ensure our processes and documentation meet the customer’s supply chain requirements.

In many cases, customers specify the documentation needed on the purchase order and we provide parts with the agreed-upon records.

Traceability & Lot Control

For parts requiring traceability, we can track material lots, maintain inspection records, and label shipments to correspond with lot documentation. This traceability supports downstream assembly validation and regulatory compliance where applicable.

Inspection Capabilities

Calibrated calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges for standard dimensional checks.

Height gauges and surface plate setups for flatness and perpendicularity measurement.

Coordinate measurement equipment (CMM) for complex features and 3D geometry (arranged as required).

Visual and surface condition checks to ensure finish and sealing requirements are met.

Common Support Scenarios

Aerospace

Projects needing FAI and MTRs for compliance and acceptance.

Automotive

Components requiring documented inspection reports and capability evidence.

Oil & Gas

Parts requiring material certifications and heat treat records.

FAQs about Aircraft/Airport Machining

  • Do you hold AS9100 or IATF certifications?

Certifications vary by supplier, program, and customer requirements. We support customer certification needs through documented quality practices, and if a specific external certification is required, we discuss options during project kickoff and coordinate to meet the needs of the contract.

  • Can you provide Material Test Reports (MTRs)?

Yes, for materials procured with certification. Please specify the requirement on the purchase order and we will include MTRs where available.

  • Will you support customer audits?

We work with customers to provide the necessary documentation and can support audits by providing process records, inspection data, and setup documentation within mutually agreed terms.
